Our story
A family's commitment, built to last
The Abdul Majid Foundation is being established as a long-term, family-led charitable foundation — a way to turn generosity into lasting, accountable good for people in need.
The Abdul Majid Foundation was founded to carry a family's values into the world: that those who have been given much have a responsibility to share it, and that the most meaningful giving is steady, considered and built to endure.
Named in honour of Abdul Majid, the Foundation is being established as a long-term charitable institution rather than a one-off effort. Our intention is to support charitable causes that relieve poverty, hardship and suffering — both here in the United Kingdom and around the world — funded by family donations, public giving, Zakat, Sadaqah, Gift Aid and other lawful charitable sources.
We are inspired by the Islamic values of compassion, generosity and service. These traditions place the care of the orphan, the refugee, the hungry and the neighbour in hardship at the very heart of a good life. At the same time, our help is offered to everyone in need — support is provided based on need alone, regardless of faith, background, nationality or ethnicity.
The Foundation is currently going through the UK charity registration process. This website has been created as an early information page while we complete that process and lay strong foundations for the work ahead.
